Mettle Indicator Licence

This licence governs the Pine Script indicators Mettle generates, publishes, or delivers to you, whether through the Workbench indicator builder, by invitation to a TradingView private script, or via any other Mettle surface. Each licensed indicator carries a watermark identifying you as the licensee and the specific indicator ID. By using a Mettle-generated indicator, you agree to the terms below.

1. Grant of Licence

Mettle grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use each Mettle-generated indicator on your own TradingView account for as long as you maintain an active, paid Mettle subscription that includes indicator generation or delivery (the "Eligible Subscription").

No other rights are granted. Indicators remain the intellectual property of Mettle.

2. Scope and Limitations

You MAY:

  • Apply the indicator to charts within your own TradingView account.
  • Configure the indicator's inputs and use it in your personal trading.
  • Reference it in plays you create within your Mettle playbook.

You MAY NOT:

  • Copy, export, share, publish, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Pine source, including but not limited to posting to GitHub, Discord, YouTube, TradingView's public script library, or any other venue.
  • Remove, obscure, or alter the licence header or any watermark present in the indicator source.
  • Reverse-engineer a Mettle-invited TradingView script in an attempt to reconstruct its source.
  • Grant access to the indicator to anyone else, including via screenshare, pair trading sessions, or account sharing.
  • Use any indicator produced by Mettle to train, fine-tune, or benchmark a machine-learning model without Mettle's prior written consent.

3. Revocation

The licence terminates automatically and immediately if any of the following occur:

  • Your Eligible Subscription is cancelled, downgraded, or lapses.
  • Your Mettle account is closed or suspended for a Terms breach.
  • You breach any term of this licence.

On termination, Mettle will revoke access to any Mettle-published invite-only TradingView scripts associated with your account. You must cease all further use of the indicator and delete any local copies of the Pine source within seven (7) days.

4. Imported Indicators

Indicators you import into Mettle (pasted Pine you already own or wrote) are your property and are not covered by this licence. Mettle stores a watermarked copy for provenance and leak-detection purposes only, and does not claim any rights over imported source.

5. Watermarks and Provenance

Every indicator Mettle delivers contains a visible licence header and machine-readable fingerprint including your user ID, indicator ID, and a timestamp. If a Mettle indicator is discovered on a third-party platform, the watermark may be used to identify the source licensee. We reserve the right to terminate any account whose licensed indicator appears to have been leaked, with no refund.

6. No Trading Advice

Indicators produced by Mettle are analytical tools. They are not investment advice, trade recommendations, or guarantees of performance. Past performance of any backtest is not indicative of future results. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and outcomes.

7. No Warranty

Indicators are provided "as is." Mettle makes no warranty, express or implied, as to their fitness, accuracy, or profitability. Mettle's total liability under this licence is limited to the fees paid by you for the three months preceding any claim.

8. Changes to this Licence

We may update this licence from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in-app. Continued use of Mettle-generated indicators after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
